Using Master Styles
Colors
Below is a set of Sections controlled by master styles stack in the ProStyles stack.
You will see in the project file that we have 3 master backgrounds, one blue, one green and one purple.
Change the colours of these masters and you will see all the sections that use them on the page instantly update.
Each stack that uses these master styles simply has its background setting set to BG MASTER 1, BG MASTER 2 or BG MASTER 3.
Angles & Margins
Similarly we have added a Sections Layout Master in the ProStyles stack. This will control the angles, padding and margins.
(Strictly speaking the margin setting is not necessary as the Sections default to no margin anyway).
In all of the Sections stacks we select the layout to use Master Layout 1
We can then apply this Master Layout to the Angle...
...the margins,
and the padding.
Note the padding setting is via the dropdown menu. This is because we can choose to apply either/or vertical and horizontal padding from the master.
The sections below now look identical to the ones on the Simple Angled Sections page but we have all the settings controlled by the master stacks.
Not only does this make it very easy to alter the look of your page to respond to client requests but it also cuts the code output. All the Sections on the page are now using the common CSS written by the Master Styles stack.
This is CSS as it was meant to be used. A common class used to style many elements.
