SectionsPro 2.1 and ProStyles 2.0.3 will support background blend modes.
This means that you can use them in SectionsPro, SectionsBOX, StyleBOX and BWD MenuLab stacks.
The detail in your original image is not lost by overlaying a transparency color.
Now you can get proper image effects without having to resort to lots of complex overlay layers - which never look as good.
Just look at how much better the blue book image looks using a blend node than it does using a transparency color overlay.
What is more there are 10 blendmodes to choose from (see below) just like you get in Photoshop and other image editors.
This is super easy to do:
- just one simple setting to choose the mode
- set the color to which you want to blend.
Microsoft browsers do not support blend modes. This is not a problem though as by simply enabling the fallback control, you can just show a conventional Overlay stack for these browsers.
Here is a screen shot of what this page looks like in Internet Explorer.
You can see that all the images are now using the "conventional" transparency overlays and so your design colors are preserved.
The results that you achieve are completely dependent on the blendmode and the colour that you choose.
Remember that the different settings change how the color specified is blended (interacts) with the image.
All these effects work in Edit Mode and so it is really simple to set up to get the look that you want.
